3rd Edition of the 4EU+ DeepLife workshop
2026 edition of deep learning approaches to protein bioinformatics
The 3rd edition of the european DeepLife workshop takes place between 1st June and 5th June 2026 in Heidelberg. This was part of a 4EU+ funded course within the Blended Intensive Program (BIP). This years topic is the application of deep learning approaches to the prediction of protein structures, ligand-protein binding and molecular dynamics. 22 students from four 4EU+ alliance partners (Charles University Prag, University Milan, University Paris-Sorbonne and Heidelberg Universty) are participating. The program is a mixture of keynote talks, lectures given by invited lecturers, hands-on lab sessions and hackathon sessions. During the hackathon, groups of students are finalising projects they have been working on in recent weeks, ending with a final presentation of the projects.
The DeepLife course has been running since 2024 and is coordinated by Prof. Carl Herrmann at IPMB, together with colleagues from partner universities. More information can be found here.
