Organisational Structure

The SHIELD project is supported by a strong and well-coordinated organisational framework to ensure smooth collaboration and effective decision-making. The organisational structure includes the following bodies and committees.

Coordinator

The Coordinator, Heidelberg University, leads the project, organises meetings, monitors progress, and serves as the main contact between the SHIELD consortium and the European funding agency. The Coordinator chairs the General Assembly and the Steering Committee.

General Assembly

The General Assembly is the main decision-making body of the project. It includes one representative from each partner institution and meets regularly to make key strategic and scientific decisions.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee brings together the leaders of the project’s work packages. It supports the day-to-day coordination of scientific activities and helps keep the project on track.
